Mike Rowe's "Returning the Favor" honors "Pin Ups for Vets

Here are two people I am huge fans of: Mike Rowe from any number of documentary type shows I watch (How the Universe Works is one of my favorite shows on TV) and the lovely, kind and wonderful Gina Elise from Pin Ups for Vets.  I met Gina about 15 years ago at a Military Blogger Convention, and truth be told I somewhat hid from her because she is so bubbly and friendly that it makes a curmudgeon like me nervous.  But she is so sweet, and I even ran into her again this past year at an event with Pallisades Post 283 in Los Angeles.

Anyway, I know a huge number of you absolutely loathe Facebook, and the video is housed there.  But the good news is that you don't need to Log In to Facebook or anything else to watch it.  And watch it you should, because the entire 24 minutes will just make you happy.

From the episode synapsis:

It's time to strike-a-pose! Mike and the team (bathing) suit up to meet Pin-Up for Vets founder Gina Elise, who created a non-profit organization that empowers female veterans through makeovers and photoshoots. The organization then uses those photos to create a calendar which helps Gina raise funds for VA hospitals nationwide.

Gina has a close working relationship with the Legion and has been at our Conventions in the past.  And what she does is so great for the VA's, and she spends a lot of her time and energy visiting people at the VA.

Mr Rowe himself is no stranger to the Legion, having been awarded our 2017 National Commander's Media and Communications award:

So anyway, if you want to watch a feel good video, and see how people are out there doing good deeds everyday for our fellow servicemembers and veterans, start with this video of Mike and Gina.  I guarantee you will be glad you did.

Mike is one of the few who realize that not everyone must donate to the "colleges" of this great country. One receives nothing but indoctrination for them and is up to their neck in debt for the better part of their life.
Really enjoyed the Pin Up's and their contribution to the lives of our vets and military retirees.
